Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly preparing a move for Arsenal and USA striker Folarin Balogun after ending their interest in Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.

Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun is attracting interest from all across Europe, and Inter Milan are reportedly seriously considering a move for the £50million rated man.

The Serie A side are said to have switched their attention to the American frontman after ending their interest in Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku spent last term on loan with Inter, helping them to a Coppa Italia triumph as well as a Champions League final, however his hopes of a San Siro return have been scuppered by their decision to move on to other striking targets.

Juventus and Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League are believed to be two serious bidders in the race to sign Lukaku from Chelsea.

No formal offers have yet been made, but Inter see Balogun as a perfect candidate for their vacant striker role – especially in the long-term.

Balogun is currently out with the Arsenal squad in the United States for their pre-season tour, and when asked about his future – Gunners boss Mikel Arteta responded: “we will see what happens”.

Last season was Balogun’s breakout year in terms of performing on the big stage, as he scored 22 times for Ligue 1 side Reims.

Unfortunately for him though, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah preferred to lead the line for the Gunners, as well as the arrival of Kai Havertz, opportunities at the Emirates look limited.

This will likely force him out of the north London club, but with strong interest from Inter, as well as reported interest from Chelsea, Milan, Marseille and Monaco – he certainly won’t be short for options next term.
