Liverpool are reportedly preparing to lose another midfield option this summer as Fabinho nears a £40m move to Saudi Arabian side, Al-Ittihad.
This news comes after former Liverpool player, and now Al-Ettifaq manager, Steven Gerrard, reportedly contacted the club over a move for Jordan Henderson.
The Brazilian midfielder has made 219 appearances under Jurgen Klopp, winning the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
However, with reports that a move for Romeo Lavia is becoming increasingly more likely, Fabinho’s time at Anfield could be coming to an end.

Liverpool are set for a difficult 2023-24 campaign, as the teams around them start to strengthen and the Reds may look back on the 2022-23 season with regret.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will compete in the Europa League for the first time in over five seasons, after finishing fifth in the Premier League and have lost a plethora of star names.
Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita have all parted ways with Liverpool and the need for a huge summer overhaul has increase drastically.
The Reds have addressed their midfield dilemma, as Alexis Mac Allister was added to Klopp’s squad for just £35m and Dominik Szoboszlai joined earlier this month.
Strengthening the midfield appears to be the priority for Liverpool, as Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are reaching the latter stages of their careers and according to reports, are both set to leave this summer.
Fabinho has three-years remaining on his contract, meaning the £40m bid may be enough to land the 29-year-old midfielder.
