Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is drawing interest from Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal lodging a £25.5million bid for the Serbian, and according to reports – he wants the move to go ahead.

Aleksandar Mitrovic reportedly wants to switch Fulham for Saudi Arabia following Al-Hilal’s £25.5million bid for the forward.

Reports broke on Wednesday afternoon that Al-Hilal had lodged a bid for Fulham’s star forward, however the Cottagers were quick to reject the Saudi Pro League side’s approach, clearly outlining that he’s not for sale.

Mitrovic was key in Fulham’s push for a top-half Premier League finish, bagging 14 league goals on their return to the English top flight.

But now, Sky Sports News report that sources close to the player say that Mitrovic wants to leave the Premier League side in order to join the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Hilal have been one of the busier Saudi sides in the transfer market, having already acquired Premier League stars Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly.

They are also reportedly close to completing the signing of Mitrovic’s international teammate Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is due to join from Serie A side Lazio for around £34.5million.

Another high-profile signing the club has made is that of Andre Carillo from Benfica. The 92-time Peruvian international spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Watford.

And finally, another familiar name at the club to fans of the English game is Matheus Pereira. Formerly of West Bromwich Albion, Pereira shone in the English top flight back in 2020/21, bagging 11 goals for the Baggies, but joined Al-Hilal for an undisclosed fee the following summer.
