Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign RB Leipzig defender, Benjamin Henrichs, despite the Gunners showing heavy interest in Dutch international, Jurrien Timber.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been extremely proactive in the summer transfer window, with the likes of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice set to play at the Emirates next season.
Qualifying for the Champions League has made business a lot simpler this summer and could be key in future transfer dealings.
Another player that has reportedly began negotiations with the club is RB Leipzig defender, Benjamin Henrichs, who has impressed during his time in the Bundesliga.
The German international is said to be negotiating a deal of £65k p/w and cement a move to the Premier League in the coming days.
Arsenal have also been in persistent contact with Ajax defender, Jurrien Timber, who was originally a target for Manchester United. However, according to recent reports, the Dutchman is days away from joining the side from north London.

It is unclear whether the move for Henrichs is a back-up option, should a deal for Timber fail to progress or if Arteta is keen to sign both this summer.
Henrichs has made 101 appearances for Leipzig, contributing to 15 goals and establishing himself as one of the best full-backs in the Bundesliga.
With two-years remaining on his current deal in Germany, the 26-year-old could cost the Gunners over £35m and take their summer spending up to £215m – if the Declan Rice deal materialises.
As well as a host of additions, the Gunners have seen a list of players leave the club, as Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are all set for pastures new.
