Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Moroccan international, Sofyan Amrabat, despite the club’s recent takeover fiasco.
The 2022-23 campaign saw success return to Old Trafford once again, as the Red Devils won silverware for the first time in seven years.
Not only did Erik ten Hag win the Carabao Cup in his opening season, the Dutchman also guided his side to third place in the Premier League.
Securing Champions League football was vital for the club’s ambition in the coming transfer window, as a host of Europe’s elite players have been linked with a move to Manchester.
Harry Kane and Mason Mount are just two of the numerous players linked with a move to the club and according to reports, Fiorentina midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat, has caught the eye of Erik ten Hag.
However, the Red Devils are in the midst of a potential takeover, as the Glazers are set to sell the club. Unfortunately for United fans the deal to sell appears to have stalled despite heavy interest from Qatari billionaire, Sheikh Jassim.

After an impressive display in the 2022 World Cup, the footballing world took notice of the Moroccan midfielder and the 26-year-old continued a successful season with Fiorentina.
Making 49 appearances in all competitions, the former Hellas Verona player established himself as one of the top midfielders in Italy – reaching the Europa Conference League final.
A move to Manchester seems unlikely, given the English side’s limited budget this summer, however, the addition of Amrabat would be a smart move for ten Hag’s side.
With Fred set to leave the club this summer and Scott McTominay attracting interest from a list of Premier League sides – midfield reinforcements may be key this summer.
The Morocco international has a year remaining on his current deal in Italy, meaning he should cost around £35m this summer.
