10. Alejandro Balde – Barcelona

One of the crowning jewels in Xavi’s rejuvenated title-winning Barcelona side, Alejandro Balde has been passed the torch by outgoing legend Jordi Alba.

The full-throttle roadrunner is known for blistering pace and a tendency to break through the lines with ease, and at just 19-years-old, it looks as if both Barcelona and Spain have their left side locked down for years to come.

44 appearances across all competitions last term means he has firmly cemented his starting spot for next season, and as a result his market value has increased leaps and bounds since making the jump from the youth side last summer.

Market Increase: +€46m (1150%)

9. Min-Jae Kim – Napoli

Although an imminent move to Bayern Munich will bring the curtain down a hugely successful single-season stint at Napoli, the South Korean will be remembered fondly by Gli Azzurri.

The Bundesliga champions have managed to fend off concrete interest from Manchester United to secure a €6om deal for the 26-year-old, whose robust, imposing style should suit him down to the ground in Germany.

Having spent the vast majority of his formative years in his native South Korea, he has flittered between China, Turkey and Italy over the past three years on his way to one of Europe’s most illustrious clubs.

8. Alexis Mac Allister – Liverpool

A glittering World Cup winning campaign has contributed significantly to Alexis Mac Allister’s new-found market value, and the Argentine also finished as Brighton’s top scorer last season.

Despite a lofty €65m valuation, Liverpool somehow managed to swing a cut-price deal for more than €20m below that figure.

Shrewd business indeed from the Reds, who have snatched one of the Premier League’s standout performers in time for next season.

Market Increase: +€49m (306.3%)

7. Vinicius Jr – Real Madrid

For a player who was already valued at €100m before the season kicked off, any marked increase is testament to his boundless potential.

Vinicius Jr’s most productive year yet saw the Brazilian register 44 goal involvements in 55 appearances, as well as lead La Liga in most successful dribbles per 90 (3.2).

Even in the face of terrible on-pitch racial abuse, the 22-year-old continues to thrive as one of the world’s most feared players.

Market Increase: +€50m (50%)

6. Victor Osimhen – Napoli

Any potential departure from the newly-crowned champions of Italy appears to be a far-fetched scenario, as Victor Osimhen continues to insist his future lies in Naples.

A season brimming with goals, 31 in 39 to be exact, has seen the Nigerian’s stock rise exponentially. Pace, power, strength and an inherent ability to find the net at just 24 makes him one of the most sought after and valuable forwards in football.

It seems Napoli’s €75m investment three years ago – the most expensive African transfer at the time – has more than paid dividends.

Market Increase: +€55m (84.6%)

5. Bukayo Saka – Arsenal

Bukayo Saka’s rise to prominence shows little signs of letting up, and a nearly-season for Arsenal in which he played a pivotal role as both a provider and a goalscorer has seen his value rise to €120m.

At just 21, there is seemingly no limit to how good Arsenal’s Hale End product can become, and a glittering World Cup campaign for England last winter indicates a promising international career too.

4. Randal Kolo Muani – Eintracht Frankfurt

One of this summer’s most talked about targets, Kolo Muani, has garnered a wave of attention following a mesmeric season in Germany.

He managed to put his extra-time World Cup final miss behind him by rounding off a productive season with 23 goals and 17 assists.

His duality as a creator and a trusted source of goals, as well as a graceful speed across the turf have many likening him to compatriot Thierry Henry.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all reportedly registered concrete interest in the 24-year-old, but a current market value of €80m is likely to ward off suitors for this summer at least.

Market Increase: +€64m (400%)

3. Enzo Fernandez – Chelsea

Enzo Fernandez’s £106.8m switch to Chelsea following a staggering World Cup campaign saw him become the most expensive midfielder of all time, although Arsenal’s reported deal for Declan Rice is sure to give him a run for his money.

Although the resulting campaign has certainly not panned out the way he would’ve imagined, the smooth, slick yet bullish youngster has been one of the Blues’ shining lights in an otherwise dismal period.

Market Increase: +€65m (433.3%)

2. Moises Caicedo – Brighton

Chelsea looks to be the most likely destination for Moises Caicedo, who is expected to depart from Brighton this season.

He was the subject of two rejected bids in January from Arsenal, who remained an interested party heading into this summer. Their attention has been firmly fixed on bringing Declan Rice to the club however, which has allowed Chelsea to move ahead in negotiations.

With 1.5 interceptions 2.7 tackles and 1.2 key passes per game last season, the highly versatile Ecuadorian would be an excellent ready-made replacement for N’Golo Kante.

Market Increase: +€69m (1150%)

1. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – Napoli

Coming in at first place for the biggest market increase in 2022/23 is Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Credit to whoever behind the scenes at Napoli unearthed this absolute gem from Rubin Kazan last summer. The Georgian international has that old school appeal; socks down by his ankles, impeccable balance and willingness to stay on his feet – he has shades of the great George Best about him.

His performances in Serie A and the Champions League have delighted fans across Europe, who have been treated to some truly outstanding individual displays.

A near-unstoppable partnership with Victor Osimhen went some way to helping Napoli lift their first title since the 1980s, and his contribution can not be underestimated.
