Harry Winks Completes Leicester Move From Spurs

The 27-year-old has signed for the Foxes after 21 years at Tottenham originally joining the academy aged five. Winks progressed through the youth set-up at Spurs and made his debut in 2014 and went on to make 203 appearances for his boyhood club.

Winks spent last season on loan at Sampdoria and eventually impressed after his life in Italy got off to a tricky start with ankle injury.

The midfielder has been capped 10 times by England and helped Spurs reach the Champions League final in 2019, but struggled to play regularly under Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.

After being relegated from the top flight on the final day of last season, Leicester will start their Championship campaign at home to Coventry City on Sunday, 6th August with Winks in their midfield.

Winks has become Enzo Maresca’s first signing as Foxes boss just days after James Maddison moved in the opposite direction.
