Aston Villa are reportedly willing to lose Philippe Coutinho on loan, as Besiktas have contacted the Villains over a deal for the Brazilian.

The Villains are set for a big transfer window and have been linked with the likes of Scott McTominay and Brennan Johnson, who could potentially be playing at Villa Park next season.

Emery’s side have already agreed their first deal of the window, as Youri Tielemans has agreed a deal to join the club following relegation with Leicester City.

However, star player, Ollie Watkins, could leave the club this summer as the England international has attracted interest from a host of Premier League sides and the Villains are preparing for more departures this summer.

Equally, the Midlands-based side are also set for another departure, as according to reports, Besiktas are close to signing Philippe Coutinho on loan.

After catching the eye at Liverpool, Coutinho earned an £142m move to Barcelona where he contributed to 39 goals in 106 appearances. However, after a run of injuries and poor performances, the Brazilian signed for Aston Villa on loan in January 2022.

The former Liverpool star impressed during his opening six-months at the club and signed on a permanent basis in the following summer.

Coutinho has made 41 appearances during his time at Villa Park, scoring six goals and contributing with three assists.

However, after playing just 916 minutes in all competitions during the 2022-23 campaign, Coutinho’s future at the club has been surrounded with doubt.

Any agreed loan move may be accompanied with an option to buy Coutinho for £8m, as the 31-year-old still has four-years remaining on his current deal.

Besiktas finished third last season and were 10 pints adrift eventual champions, Galatasaray, meaning a list of summer additions are expected.
