Liverpool are reportedly preparing a monstrous bid for PSG star, Kylian Mbappe, despite Real Madrid showing heavy interest.
The Reds failed to qualify for the Champions League in the 2022-23 campaign, as they finished fifth in the Premier League. Meaning Jurgen Klopp’s side will compete in the Europa League for the first time in over five seasons.
Suffering a host of injuries and displaying poor performances has caused a number of players to leave the club this summer – stirring rumours of a huge overhaul.
Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner have all parted ways with Liverpool and more players are expected to leave this month.
With these departures, a variety of additions are expected in a huge overhaul this summer and Brighton star, Alexis Mac Allister is the first player to join Klopp’s squad – signing from Brighton for £35m.
Possibly joining the former Seagulls midfielder is PSG superstar, Kylian Mbappe, as the Reds are reportedly preparing a huge bid for the France international.

The Frenchman has established himself as one Europe’s best players since bursting onto the scene at Monaco in 2017. Becoming PSG’s record goal scorer aged 24, with 212 goals in 260 matches, Mbappe has seen his profile rise tremendously.
However, the 2022-23 campaign was slightly different for the 24-year-old, as PSG failed to improve on previous years. The club’s continued goal of winning the Champions League came to an end after they were swept aside by Bayern Munich in the round of 16.
A host of star players have been confirmed to leave the club, as Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, confirm their departure just two seasons after joining the Parisian side.
Any deal to sign Mbappe could cost up to £250m, as Real Madrid have reportedly enquired about landing his signature. However, according to reports, Liverpool are prepared to ‘splash the cash’ in order to sign the PSG player.
These reports may seem far-fetched, as the Reds were unable to sign Jude Bellingham due to his hefty price tag – a problem that may arise once again.
