According to reports, Liverpool have entered the race to sign Southampton star, Romeo Lavia, despite interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will compete in the Europa League for the first time in over five seasons, after finishing fifth in the Premier League and have lost a plethora of star names.
Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita have all parted ways with Liverpool and the need for a huge summer overhaul has increase drastically.
The Reds have addressed their midfield dilemma, as Alexis Mac Allister was added to Klopp’s squad for just £35m and will be key in the 2023-24 campaign.
Strengthening the midfield appears to be the priority for Liverpool, as Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Fabinho are reaching the latter stages of their careers and according to reports, the club are in the running to sign Southampton star, Romeo Lavia.

Lavia signed from Manchester City and cemented his place in the heart of Southampton’s midfield – making 35 appearances in all competitions.
Despite Southampton’s underwhelming performance in England’s top-flight, the 19-year-old proved himself capable of performing in the Premier League.
The Belgian’s contract is set to expire in 2027, meaning any transfer could cost up to £50m and may deter Arsenal as the Gunners look to sign Declan Rice from West Ham.
As Liverpool have no shown little interest in the Hammer captain, the Reds are amongst the favourites to sign Lavia and continue their activity in the summer window.
