Manchester City Prepared To Pay ‘Huge’ Fee For PSG Defender Achraf Hakimi

Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain defender, Achraf Hakimi, as Guardiola is willing to pay ‘huge’ money this summer.

Manchester City shocked the footballing world, as the blue side of Manchester completed the treble and won the Champions League final against Inter Milan – clinching the club’s first European trophy.

Despite this historic achievement, Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen on strengthening his side this summer and the blue side of Manchester are set for a huge overhaul this summer.

One player that could be on his way to the Etihad is PSG star, Achraf Hakimi, as the Cityzens are willing to pay a ‘huge’ fee to land the Moroccan’s signature.

The Morocco international signed for PSG in 2021 – costing the Ligue 1 side around £65m and has made 80 appearances so far.

Contributing to 21 goals from defence, the 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best full-backs in Europe and was key in Morocco’s impressive display at the 2022 World Cup.

In a season full of controversy, chaos and disappointment, PSG still clinched the Ligue 1 title and maintained their prestige throughout the country of France.

However, the club’s performance in the Champions League left supporters feeling underwhelmed, as Christophe Galtier’s side were brushed aside by Bayern Munich in the round of 16.

These poor performances have put a host of players on notice, as Kylian Mbappe and Hakimi have been rumoured with huge transfer this summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund player is under contract until 2026, meaning any deal to land the Moroccan could cost up to £80m.
