Dramatic footage coming out of the Czech Republic this afternoon shows a congregation of West Ham fans being ambushed by Fiorentina fantastics, ahead of this evening’s Europa Conference League final.
Police in Prague have been out in full force as tens of thousands of fans from London and Tuscany make their way to the Czech capital.
Both teams have only been allocated around 5,000 tickets each for this evening’s Europa Conference League final, but West Ham alone are believed to have travelled in numbers around five times that figure.
Rumblings of crowd trouble have threatened to overshadow a momentous occasion for both finalists, with neither side lifting European silverware since the 1960s.
Prague’s Old Town Square has largely been a joyous epicentre for both sets of fans, with beers flowing and chants bellowing through the streets, but damning footage has surfaced of Twitter elsewhere in the city.
Although it is somewhat unclear from the video below, unconfirmed reports of Fiorentina fans attacking Hammers contingents across the city have started to surface, and the footage supposedly shows a heated clash between both sets of fans outside a bar.

A separate video also shows riot police flooding the scene to reprimand the culprits, and Fiorentina fans can be seen pinned to the ground in the footage below.

Although other teams in Italy are perhaps more infamous for their club ‘ultras,’ the Viola’s are known for sporadic acts of violence, and hoodie-clad factions have been spotted across the city targeting groups of West Ham fans.
The Prague police appear to have a firm grasp over the unfolding situation however, and rifle and button-wielding officers have been pictured leading groups of fans away having been arrested.
