Roma and England striker Tammy Abraham is set to spend a lengthy amount of time on the sidelines, after suffering an ACL injury in the final match of the season.
Abraham was introduced with just under half an hour left during Roma’s last match of the season, but he was forced to be withdrawn only 20 minutes later with a nasty looking injury.
The striker went for a challenge on former teammate Ethan Ampadu, however he overextended his leg on the reach and immediately fell to the ground in pain.

Initial reports from Roma are that Abraham has suffered an ACL injury, which would no doubt put the 25-year-old out of action until early next year.
Abraham was set to leave Roma this summer, as the Italians look to cash in on their striker who has struggled for form this season.
The Englishman played 52 matches this season for Roma and having scored just nine in all competitions, Abraham will be disappointed with his season.

His poor form has meant that Abraham has also missed out on Gareth Southgate’s England squad for their upcoming Euro qualifiers, with the likes of Callum Wilson preferred to him.
The ACL injury means Abraham will not get a transfer away this summer, after the forward was rumoured to be on the move back to the Premier League next season.
