Spanish forward Marco Asensio is reportedly travelling to the capital of France today to complete his move from La Liga giants Real Madrid to Paris-Saint Germain.

Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Spanish forward Marco Asensio is in the process of travelling to Paris to complete his move to PSG.

Asensio has been on the books of Real Madrid for almost 10 years, signing for the club from Mallorca back in 2014.

However, his time at the Bernabeu has come to an end, and he will now switch the Spanish capital for the French capital.

Romano revealed that the 35-time international was on his way to complete the move over on his Twitter account.

“Marco Asensio will be in Paris today to complete medicals and sign contract as new Paris Saint-Germain player. Here we go confirmed.” he tweeted.

“Contract will be valid until June 2027, joins as free agent.

“Jorge Mendes will be in Paris too, as Matteo Morretto of Relevo reported.”

Asensio has been a regular in the Los Blancos lineup in recent years, featuring 51 times this term, scoring 12 and assisting eight goals.

Despite talks of a new contract, a deal wasn’t struck, with the 27-year-old departing the club on a free.

During his time in Madrid, he won an incredible 17 trophies.

This includes three Champions League triumphs, as well as three La Liga titles, and four FIFA Club World Cup medals.

As well, he has become a regular for the Spanish national team, featuring in all four of their matches at the recent World Cup, and scoring in the opener against Costa Rica.
