Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Everton and England goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, as David De Gea’s contract negotiations continue.
The Red Devils have enjoyed a steady season under Erik ten Hag, winning the Carabao Cup and take up the final place in the league’s top four places.
However, recent results have dampened the mood at Old Trafford, after consecutive defeats to Brighton and West Ham United.
During the match against the Hammers, the Manchester United goalkeeper made a huge error that cost his side dearly and many supporters have started to question De Gea.
The Spaniard has made over 500 appearances for United since signing in 2011 and is reportedly close to agreeing a new deal with the club.
However, the Red Devils are reportedly keen on making a surprise move for Everton star, Jordan Pickford, with the England international set to leave should the Toffee’s face relegation.

Pickford has been a calming presence in the Everton goal, making 234 appearances so far. These performances have also made him the first choice goalkeeper for Gareth Southgate and England.
Composed on the ball, the former Sunderland shot-stopper could be the perfect move for ten Hag’s side, as they look to build out from the back.
United will face stiff competition from a host of Premier League sides, with Tottenham Hotspur showing a lot of interest in the 28-year-old.
Spurs are rumoured to be holding a huge summer offload, with long-time servant, Hugo Lloris, set to leave the club at the end of the season.
The Everton goalkeeper recently signed a new deal that should keep him at the club until 2027, but with relegation being a real possibility we may see Pickford move elsewhere in the summer.
