Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid star, Aurelien Tchouameni, as the Frenchman has fallen out-of-favour under Carlo Ancelotti.

The France international has endured an interesting first season in La Liga, after he signed for Los Blancos from Monaco for around £70m. The 23-year-old has made 44 appearances so far, contributing to four assists in the process.

However, Tchouameni has only played 37 minutes in the Champions League knockout stages, playing the role of substitute for their quarter final tie against Chelsea and opening leg with Manchester City, last Tuesday.

Eduardo Camavinga, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Federico Valverde are all higher in the pecking order than the former Monaco midfielder.

With Jude Bellingham looking all-but certain to sign for the Spanish side, the competition for places will be at an all time high. Signing the England international could see the end of Tchouameni’s time in Spain, as the club are keen on loaning the midfielder out.

Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side have been linked with the Madrid star, as the Reds look for midfield options after missing out on Bellingham.

The red side of Merseyside have endured a difficult season, but recent performances mean that a late chance to finish amongst the top four places is on the cards.

Midfield reinforcements are reportedly the priority for Liverpool this summer, with the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo being linked with a move to Anfield.

Finishing in the Champions League places will be vital for the club’s business in the summer, as the Madrid midfielder will need persuading to leave the Spanish capital.

Liverpool are not alone in their pursuit of Tchouameni, Manchester United and PSG are also reportedly interested in landing his signature.
