Six other countries are already through to Saturday’s show which includes the big five – France, Germany, Spain, Italy and finally the UK. Last year’s winners Ukraine are also already through.
It seems there was a Scandinavian theme in tonight’s best performers, who are well supported in the latest Eurovision song contest 2023 odds. Norway, Sweden and Finland all had the crowd on their side throughout the night, and impressed massively.
In a special night on Merseyside, the crowd were treated to a performance from Liverpool’s own Rebecca Ferguson with Ukraine’s singer Alyosha. They also were lucky enough to hear a medley from Rita Ora.
This was emotional – a beautiful performance from Liverpool's Rebecca Ferguson and Ukraine's Alyosha 💙💛 #Eurovision2023 pic.twitter.com/AFueo1YIIt
