Sergio Busquets could end his 15 year spell in Barcelona, as the 34-year-old has attracted interest from Saudi Arabian side, Al-Nassr.

The Barcelona midfielder has had an unbelievable career, winning three Champions League trophies, eight La Liga titles and a World Cup with Spain.

His historic career spans over 15 years, where he has been the heart of Barca’s midfield – forming a superb relationship with Xavi and Andres Iniesta a decade ago.

Since his debut in 2008, the Spanish international has made 719 appearances for the Catalan side and has contributed to 63 goals.

However, his current deal in Spain is set to end in the coming months and a renewed contract is yet to be agreed, despite the midfielder making 39 appearances in all competitions this season.

Busquets has been ever-present for the Spanish giants this campaign and has kept the likes of Franck Kessie out of the squad.

With the Spaniard’s deal coming to an end, rumours over a possible move away from Spain have started to circulate. Especially with Barcelona’s recent financial struggles, that saw Lionel Messi depart only two years ago.

One club that are reportedly interested in the 34-year-old is Saudi Arabian side, Al-Nassr. The club sit second in the Saudi Pro League and is the home of another La Liga legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese international signed in January this year, in a deal that confirmed his status as the highest paid player in world football.

However, Barca are still keen on keeping Busquets at the club for another season, as they look to improve on their performance in the Champions League next season.

Xavi’s side were eliminated in the group stages of the competition, and were subsequently put into the Europa League, where they also were eliminated by Manchester United.
