In the latest Jude Bellingham transfer news, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Real Madrid are close to completing a deal for the English midfielder, with the negotiations progressing to the final stages.

Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Real Madrid are close to completing a deal for English midfielder Jude Bellingham.

According to Romano, negotiations are progressing to the final stages as the youngster looks set to part ways with Borussia Dortmund.

The news looks set to bring one of the game’s longest transfer sagas to an end.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and more have all long been linked with the 19-year-old, but Los Blancos look to have won the race.

Breaking the news on his Twitter account, Romano revealed the current situation in regards to his move.

“Real Madrid are close to completing a deal to sign Jude Bellingham, confirmed. Negotiations are progressing to the final stages.” Romano tweeted.

“Personal terms are almost agreed — Juni Calafat, crucial again.

“New meeting has been scheduled to complete the agreement with Borussia Dortmund.”

Real Madrid’s interest in Bellingham comes following Casemiro’s departure from the club. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are also entering the final years of their careers at the Bernabeu.

The club will almost certainly look to build around Bellingham going forward, as he’s set to become the first Englishman since Jonathan Woodgate to play for the Los Blancos.

Since joining Dortmund in 2020, Bellingham has earned a German Cup whilst also cementing himself as a regular starter for England.

He has made 40 appearances for the Black & Yellow this term, notching 11 goals and seven assists in the process.
