Everton take on Newcastle as they continue to battle for their Premier League safety. Ahead of the game, Sean Dyche has confirmed the Everton team news.

Everton are currently 18th, having played a game less than Leicester City but are only one point behind them.

Their form of late hasn’t been spectacular, three draws and two defeats haven’t helped their relegation battle. However, with Dyche as their manager they’ll be confident they can stay up yet again.

Everton Team News

Ahead of the game, Dyche has been talking about the Everton team news for the visit of high-flying Newcastle United.

With points being crucial, Dyche will be keen to have a full squad to pick from. In his pre-match press conference, Dyche confirmed there will be late tests on two players:

“Seamus (Coleman) and Amadou (Onana) have been on the grass, and we will make a decision on them.”

Club captain Coleman has been out since their defeat at Manchester United on April 8 when he picked up a hamstring injury. His return to the Everton team will be well welcomed as they look to survive this season.

On long term injury Andros Townsend, Dyche said his recovery is still ongoing:

“Andros is still a bit away but has been on the grass with the sports science team,

“We are just easing him back into a return-to-training programme.”

The Everton team news will bring hope to the fans of Everton in this tricky time.
