Arsenal are ready to make a move for Ruben Neves, with the Portuguese international being viewed as an alternative option to the Gunners’ main target, Declan Rice.
Mikel Arteta’s side are having their best season in over a decade, sitting top of the Premier League and are in their first title race under the Spanish manager.
However, after draw against Liverpool and West Ham, the Gunners find themselves in a vulnerable position with Manchester City hot on their tails. The pair meet on April 26th in what has been touted as the title decider – as City look to win their third consecutive title.

Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice have been linked with the Gunners relentlessly, with both of players being valued around £80m-£100m. This price tag could deter the Premier League leaders and they have reportedly began their search for alternatives.
Wolves midfielder, Ruben Neves, has emerged as a potential candidate after an impressive spell in the Midlands. The Portuguese star is in the last stages of his contract and according to reports, is not looking to renew his deal at Molineux.
Arsenal will face competition from some of Europe’s top clubs; Manchester United, Barcelona, and Liverpool have all shown interest in the 26-year-old.
After signing Jorginho in January, the Gunners may be prioritising other positions when bolstering their squad next year. However, Mikel Arteta is said to be a big fan of the Wolves midfielder and would be keen on adding him to his ‘title-chasing’ squad.
