Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen, with the star striker being linked with a move away from Italy.
Since signing from Lille back in 2020, Osimhen has been one of the most prolific goal scorers in Italy and across Europe. The 24-year-old has scored 25 goals in 29 games in all competitions, and helped guide Napoli to the top of Serie A in the process.
The club are on track to win their first league title in 30 years and the lethal finisher has put them in good stead to make it a historic season.
This hot run of form has also fired Napoli into the quarter final of the Champions League, where they currently trail 1-0 to AC Milan following their first leg defeat. The Nigerian was unavailable for the opening encounter, however he is rumoured to be involved next week.
The Italian side will be aware of the rumours surrounding their star man, as some of Europe’s biggest clubs have shown interest. One club that are reportedly planning a move for Osimhen is Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich.

The German side are enduring a difficult season for their standards, trailing 3-0 to Manchester City in the Champions League after a first leg thrashing. Thomas Tuchel has been in charge for a matter of weeks and has already seen his side be knocked out from the DFB Pokal, whilst having a mountain to climb in Europe.
Bayern’s former talisman, Robert Lewandowski, was key to the club’s success and his departure has impacted the German Champions. This turn of events may be why the club are interested in bringing an elite striker to the Allianz in Osimhen.
Tuchel’s side will face stiff competition for the Napoli man, with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United interested in bringing him to the Premier League. United are desperate for a striker and the Blues are set to continue their spending spree in the summer.
