UK betting sites have priced Wilfried Zaha at 8/1 to join Borussia Dortmund after Crystal Palace appoint Roy Hodgson until the end of the season.

The Eagles sacked Patrick Vieira after a run of 12 games without a win, leaving them in ans amongst the relegation contenders. Sitting in 12th, only three points from the dreaded bottom three the Crystal Palace baord decided to dismiss their French manager.

In a bid to survive in the Premier League the London side appointed Roy Hodgson, with the 75-year-old returning for his second spell at the club. His first reign spanned over four years, being sacked in 2021 after a run of poor performances.

One man that will be vital in Palace’s push for survival is Wilfried Zaha, who is returning from an injury that saw him miss over five matches. The Ivorian has scored 89 goals for his boyhood club, with six of them coming this season despite the injury problems.

However supporters have reason for concern about the future of their star man. as numerous clubs have shown interest, should Palace go down. One club that have seen their odds of signing the 30-year-old improve, is Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

The Black Yellows are having their best season in recent years, sitting top of the league and above their dominant rivals Bayern Munich. Should they win the league this year then they would be the first German side other than Byern Munich to win it since 2012.

The Bundesliga side will face stiff competition for the forward’s signature, as Spurs and numerous Saudi Arabian sides remain favourites to sign the Ivorian. However, with Spurs’ recent issues and Saudi Arabia being less of a challenge, Dortmund may be the ideal destination for the Eagles star.

Teenage sensation Jude Bellingham looks increasingly likely to leave, with Liverpool and Real Madrid showing interest in the midfielder. The England international would cost over £100m and open up funds for a complete transformation, possibly including Zaha.
