For years the Premier League has entertained and intrigued football fans across the world, with some of Europe’s best players moving to England. The most exciting players have mastered the art of dribbling, but who has been the master this season?

All stats per FotMob (dribbles per 90):

10. Joao Cancelo (2.1)

Starting off the list is Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, despite the Portugal international currently playing his football for Bayern Munich on loan. His attacking prowess from full-back has been superb over recent years, contributing to 17 goals in 98 matches.

The 29-year-old’s form has dipped this year, with a rumoured falling out with Pep Guardiola causing his loan move to the Bundesliga. However, he has completed 56.6% of his dribbles this season, highlighting his ability going forward.

9. Rayan Ait Nouri (2.1)

Surprisingly on this list is Wolves defnder, Rayan Ait Nouri, who again has shown some impressive attacking attributes for a defender. Unfortunately for the full-back, Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has opted for Hugo Bueno as the 20-year-old left-back continues to impress.

Ait Nouri has played over a thousand minutes this season, creating seven chances for his side. When called upon his dribbling ability and chance creation has been very beneficial for Lopetegui’s men.

8. Said Benrahma (2.2)

West Ham fans have been waiting for the Algerian to show the form he displayed during his time at Brentford and that wait is slowly ending this season. Contributing to seven goals for the Hammers, the 27-year-old has been a shining light in what has been a rather dim campaign.

The tricky midfielder averages 2.1 chances created per 90, a better record than the likes of Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, and Gabriel Martinelli.

7. Gabriel Jesus (2.2)

Former Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has missed the majority of the season through injury, after requiring surgery during the Qatar World Cup. However, his performances in the opening stages of the season won over the Gunners’ fanbase,

The Brazilian has contributed to ten goals in 15 Premier League matches, showing how his dribbling is not the only attribute he brings to the north London side.

6. Luis Sinisterra (2.2)

Leeds signed the Colombian winger in July last year, after he excelled in Holland for Feyenoord. The 23-year-old has completed 52% of his dribbles, a better percentage than the likes of Bukayo Saka and Wilfried Zaha whilst scoring two goals for Javi Garcia’s side.

5. Eberechi Eze (2.2)

Crystal Palace have struggled over recent weeks, scoring no goals in their last three league fixtures. However, one player that continues to impress is Eberechi Eze, boasting an impressive repertoire of dribbling and trickery. The 24-year-old has contributed to seven goals for the Eagles, whilst having an impressive 59% dribble success rate.

Ranking this far up the list should not come as a surprise, as the midfielder achieved the highest dribbling grade last season.

4. Emmanuel Dennis (2.3)

Coming in at fourth is Nottingham Forest striker, Emmanuel Dennis. The Nigerian has only played 468 minutes for Steve Cooper’s side, with injury and poor performances impacting the former Watford striker. However, completing 12 dribbles in such little minutes highlights his ability to take-on defenders.

3. Kaoru Mitoma (2.6)

The Japanese international has been superb in his opening Premier League season, helping Brighton challenge for Champions League qualification. Social media has boosted the winger’s profile, as it was revealed that during his time at University he wrote a dissertation focusing on dribbling.

This may explain why he is ranked third on the list, as he also holds an impressive dribbling success rate of 59%. Taking on a defender is not the only strength he possesses, with the 25-year-old also contributing to eight goals in the league.

2. Adama Traore (2.9)

Known for his pace and power, Adama Traore has struck fear into every defender he has faced, completing just under three dribbles per game. The Spain international spent last season on loan at his boyhood club Barcelona, but failed to impress in La Liga.

However, this year Julen Lopetegui has reintroduced the winger into the Wolves setup and with a superb goal against Spurs, the 27-year-old is showing his qualities.

1. Allan Saint-Maximin (4.2)

Coming in at number one, with an incredible four dribbles per 90, is Newcastle’s box of tricks- Allan Saint-Maximin. Not only does he have the highest amount of dribbles per 90 in this list, he also holds the highest dribble success rate at 60.3%.

The Frenchman is known for his unique skills and explosive speed, but his four goal contributions this season highlight how his end-product still needs to improve.
