Oleksandar Usyk has been priced at 7/4 to defeat the WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury, as fight negotiations between the two pick up speed.

Two of the best heavyweight boxers to ever grace the sport are reportedly coming closer to agreeing a mega-fight deal to see who is the king of the division. Tyson Fury has beaten the likes of Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora since returning to boxing and Usyk is coming off two-straight victories over Anthony Joshua.

Since these victories, the Ukrainian has been urged to battle against the Gypsy King, as they are regarded as the best in their weight class. The trash-talk between the two has been non-stop during the negotiations, with Fury referring to his counterpart as a ‘midget middle-weight’.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the fight, with promoter Frank Warren wanting to fulfill the supporters wishes. However, he revealed in a recent interview that talks between the pair appear to have slowed down.

He said: “We’re still none the wise. You need the agreement of both boxers to make it happen and at the moment we haven’t got that. I have a pot and can only pay what’s in it. If it’s not enough money, then it won’t happen.”

Should the fight take place then it is reported that April will be the month of choice, with Tyson Fury fighting most recently in an emphatic victory over Chisora back in December. Usyk will be looking to make it two English heavyweight’s faced and two English heavyweight’s defeated.
