Reiss Nelson’s last-gasp bullet to hand the league leaders a vital three points sparked wild Arsenal celebrations on Saturday, with coaching staff and substitutes pouring onto the pitch to hail the match-winner.
Three goals in half an hour was enough to see Arsenal claim perhaps their most spirited victory of the season, having found themselves 2-0 down to relegation-threatened Bournemouth after 57 minutes of play.
Goals from Thomas Partey and Ben White had the Emirates stadium believing in yet another last-minute comeback, with the Gunners faithful creating one of the season’s most fervid and intense atmospheres towards the end of the game.
Upon seeing his 25-yard, weak-foot strike ripple the net, Reiss Nelson was mobbed by a horde of Arsenal backroom staff and substitutes on the pitch while fans could be seen clambering over each other in the stands, in a sensational release of emotion.

The Premier League leaders have been punished on more than one occasion this season for on-field misconduct, with a £60,000 fine sanctioned by the FA for failing to control their players against Oxford in the FA Cup, while they were also handed a £65,000 penalty for a similar scenario against Manchester City last month.
It has been reported that the FA will launch an investigation after referee Chris Kavanagh reported their conduct during the last-minute celebrations against Bournemouth, with previous examples of this type of behaviour failing to go unpunished.
Jurgen Klopp was handed an £8,000 fine in 2018 for misconduct, after charging down the touchline to celebrate a late Divock Origi winner in the Merseyside Derby.
Mikel Arteta is also no stranger to controversy when it comes to sideline antics, with the Spaniard widely criticised for his impassioned protests. Both Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton were particularly critical during Arsenal goalless draw against Newcastle in January when they were also fined £40,000, labelling him ‘disrespectful’ and behaving like a ‘clown’.
