Football fans have been left very confused as FIFA President Gianni Infantino attends Millwall vs Norwich in today’s Championship clash.

In February 2016 Givoanni Infantino was elected FIFA President after Isaa Hayatou’s temporary reign. Prior to Hayatou’s brief tenure, Sepp Blatter had held the presidency for 17 years starting in 1988 and finishing his run in October 2015.

Since his appointment, Infantino has divided opinion with his choices and statements, most notably with his Qatar World Cup campaign. Many felt that the human rights issues and deaths caused by constructing the stadiums highlighted how the country should not benefit from a sport that includes all.

The Italian spoke at the World Cup about how the sport can bring people together and made a claim that a lot of football supporters considered ‘insensitive’ and ‘out-of-touch’.

He said: “Today I feel Qatari. Today I feel Arabic. Today I feel African. Today I feel gay. Today I feel disabled. Today I feel like a migrant worker.”

But why has the FIFA President decided to watch Milwall vs Norwich today? The reason is still unknown, but what is very obvious is that football fans are confused and supporters at The Den have took to social media to capture images of the 60-year-old.
