Liverpool’s season has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions for all those involved with the club so far this year, however the Reds are now 2/1 to finish in the top four after a comfortable win against Wolves.

Jurgen Klopp’s men left it late against Wolves on Wednesday, but second half goals from Mohammed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk were enough for Liverpool to pick up all three points and put more pressure on the top four in the league.

Van Dijk opened the scoring for Liverpool after 70 minutes, as the Dutch giant headed home Diogo Jota’s cross from point-blank range to give the home side the lead.

Salah doubled Liverpool’s advantage and killed the game off just five minutes later, as the Egyptian latched onto a Kostas Tsimikas ball into the box to score his ninth Premier League goal of the season.

Liverpool’s win against Wolves means that they are certainly back in contention for a top four finish this season, with the Reds now just six points behind Spurs in fourth with a game in hand.

Will Liverpool finish in the Top Four?

Although Klopp’s side have struggled all season, it looks as if Liverpool are getting back on track in the Premier League and the Reds haven’t lost in their last four games giving them a realistic chance of finishing in the top four this season.

The latest top four odds indicate that Liverpool are still outsiders to finish in the Champions League spots however, with a tough run of fixtures coming up.

In Liverpool’s next five Premier League games, they will play Manchester United, Bournemouth and Chelsea, followed by the top two in the league in Arsenal and Manchester City in April.

Klopp’s side will have to dig deep during the tough run of fixtures ahead, however if they can get to the other side of those games still close to the top four then Liverpool can certainly challenge for a place in the Champions League next season.

Top Four Odds:

Man United @ 1/12

Tottenham @ 5/4

Newcastle @ 17/10

Liverpool @ 2/1
