Sky Sports Pundit and the face of Gilette Soccer Saturday Jeff Stelling has predicted a 2-1 victory for West Ham over Manchester United in Wednesday’s FA Cup tie.
The Red Devils are coming off a huge victory, winning the Carabao Cup with a 2-0 win over Premier League high-flyers Newcastle. It is the club’s first trophy under Erik ten Hag and their first taste of silverware in six-years and the players have made it clear they aren’t slowing down.
David Moyes’ side are in a very different position this season, as they are in a huge relegation battle. The Hammers have only won six games in the league but have only lost one of their last five league matches. Injuries to summer signings Lucas Paqueta and Nayef Aguerd have hindered the club’s season.
The side from East London were drawn to play Man United after their 2-0 victory over League One side, Derby. Goals from Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio was enough to progress and set-up a huge FA Cup match.
On the other side, the Red Devils cruised into this round of the competition with a 3-1 victory of Reading. Casemiro showed why he has been getting such high-praise, as he scored a brace and Fred added the third and final blow.
Casemiro’s game by numbers vs. Reading:
82% pass accuracy
71 touches
8 ground duels won
4 tackles won
3 key passes
2/2 dribbles completed

Both sides will be looking to add the FA Cup to their trophy cabinet, as United players have been very public about winning the quadruple. Moyes will be looking to win his first major trophy in English football and Stelling believes that a shock win for the Scotsman over his former side could be the start of a memorable cup-run.
The 67-year-old said on Sky: “West Ham will knock Manchester United out of the FA Cup, off the back of Erik ten Hag’s success in the Carabao Cup.”
