Tommy Fury is the first recognised boxer that Jake Paul will have faced since turning his attention to becoming a professional, but as the American prepares for his biggest fight yet, mutterings of a long-awaited YouTuber showdown with KSI are already doing the rounds.
Jake Paul vs KSI – What We Know So Far
Jake Paul vs KSI seems somewhat inevitable at this point, even if the American is further along the professional timeline than his British counterpart.
The YouTuber duo are embroiled in a long-standing feud that has often seem them exchange unpleasantries across social media, and KSI attempted to ramp up talks of a potential battle in the ring after calling Paul out, following his first round KO against FaZe Temperrr back in January.
KSI’s manager also took to Twitter to announce that initial talks are already underway with Paul’s representatives, in order to schedule a fight for later this year.
When Could a Potential Fight Between Jake Paul and KSI Take Place?
Jake Paul steps into the ring with Tommy Fury tonight, and it is likely that a saga will ensue given the bitter feud that has developed between the pair over the past few years.
A rematch clause has also been included should Paul succumb to defeat, so any potential fight with KSI may be pushed back until such time those conditions are met.

As for KSI himself, the YouTube sensation has been vocal about his desire for another bout before settling his differences with Paul, but he also expressed his preference for any potential showdown to be held in the UK.
Taking all this into account, it seems increasingly likely that both parties could reach an agreement for a fight later this year, and although a win for Jake Paul against Fury would earn him a coveted WBC ranking, the commercial power a fight with KSI holds will be too inviting to pass up.

Speaking to TalkSport about whether he is the man to hand Paul his first defeat, KSI said: “That’s the reason I came back and through every fight that I do, you will see that I’m ‘that guy’!
“I really, really love this whole boxing scene, it gives me purpose, it’s my passion right now.
“So, I just want to keep doing what I’m doing and eventually get to Jake Paul and knock him out.”
Meanwhile, Paul expressed his optimism over a getting a deal over the line for this year after coming to an agreement over weight, and said the very end of 2023 looks like a likely timeline.
“It was good that we agreed on a weight, and we agreed on winner takes all.
“I thought the weight was going to be more of an issue, but it actually looks like it’s starting to progress. But who knows if he’ll actually follow through in the year.
“I’m ready whenever. KSI has said December, so whenever he wants to get embarrassed, whenever he wants to be unconscious, I’m ready whenever. I’ve always been ready.
“Like I’ve said before, anyone, any time, any place. I’ve said that and proven it. It’s going to be a good one. It’s going to be one for the history books.”
