One of the biggest questions in the football world right now is who will Lionel Messi play for in the 2023/24 season and Inter Miami have emerged as marginal favourites to sign the PSG superstar before next season.
Messi is out of contract in Paris at the start of Summer this year and so a big decision is yet to be made over the seven time Ballon D’Or winner’s future, with L’Equipe reporting the Argentinian’s desire to leave at the end of this season.
After signing for PSG in 2021 following a dramatic transfer saga with Barcelona, Messi formed one of the most feared front three’s in the world alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar that has the sole purpose of winning the Champions League.
It hasn’t all been plain sailing for Messi in Paris however, as last season the Ligue 1 side were knocked out of Europe last season in the last 16 by eventual winners Real Madrid.
The French side haven’t fared much better this year either, with Bayern winning the first leg of the last 16 tie 1-0 at the Parc Des Princes last week leaving Messi and co a huge uphill battle to climb at the Allianz Arena next week.

Messi could leave PSG without a Champions League trophy this Summer and this season could be the last time we see the superstar in the competition, with MLS side Inter Miami emerging as the favourites to acquire Messi’s signature.
Barcelona remain ever present in the markets and Messi is now 7/2 with most bookmakers to make a return to the Camp Nou this season and reunite with his former club for a fairytale ending to an incredible career.
