Former Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has been priced at 5/1 to become the next Leeds boss as they look to replace the recently sacked Jesse Marsch.
Gerrard began his managerial career in 2020 as he took the reigns at Rangers, where he won the club their first league title in just over a decade. He then moved to the Premier League in November 2021, as he became manager at Aston Villa.
The former Liverpool midfielder took charge of 38 Premier League matches for Villa, winning 12 and losing 18. His time came to an end on October 21st following a 3-0 defeat to Fulham and he has been out of work since.
Leeds have been on the hunt for a new manager since the dismissal of Jesse Marsch, with Michael Skubala filling in under an interim role. The Yorkshire-based side currently sit 18th in the Premier League and will be hoping their next manager can keep them out of the Championship.
Gerrard has a respectable record against Leeds, as during his time at Aston Villa he managed three matches against The Whites. Winning one and drawing the other two, he showed Leeds fans what they could potentially see in the very near future.

However, Leeds are not the only side who are keeping close tabs on Gerrard. Southampton are priced at 10/1 to have the 42-year-old as their next manager, according to UK betting sites, due to the sacking of Nathan Jones after four months at the club.
The Saints looked to have found their replacement with the previously mentioned, Jesse Marsch. However, even though it looked all but done, talks with the American broke down. Putting Southampton back on the look-out for a manager who can keep them in the Premier League, as they are currently rock-bottom.
Both Leeds and Southampton will want their new boss in as quickly as possible, with games coming thick and fast. Leeds travel to Everton this weekend in a huge relegation clash, while Southampton will welcome Premier League giants, Chelsea.
