Graham Potter Sack Odds: Chelsea Manager’s Odds Slashed After Dortmund Defeat

Graham Potter hasn’t been at Stamford Bridge for long but his time may be coming to an end soon.

The Champions League was seen as a positive break from the Premier League for Chelsea. However, their knockout stage opener didn’t go to plans as they lost 1-0 to Dortmund.

Just after the hour mark, Karim Ademeyi ran the ball from the halfway line to the goal line with ease. In doing so he beat big signing Enzo Fernández and rounded the ‘keeper.

Chelsea had their chances to equalise but couldn’t manage to beat an inspired Gregor Kobel in the Dortmund goal.

It seems crazy to suggest given the amount of time Potter has been there and the money he’s spent that he might get sacked. But that’s football. Managers aren’t always given the time they used to be. Potter may seem confident in front of the media, but he’ll know the pressure is on. At 3/1 to be sacked, he’s second favourite amongst the bookies.

Bournemouth new manager Gary O’Neil is the favourite to be the next man out of a job. He’s struggled to get the Cherries going since becoming permanent manager. He’s priced at 6/4 to be out of the Cherries door.

David Moyes and Antonio Conte are the next two up. Two fellow London clubs struggling in the league this season. Conte, similar to Potter, was hoping the Champions League would be a saving grace. Unfortunately his Spurs side were defeated by AC Milan in their first leg game.
