Erling Haaland has travelled with the Man City squad ahead of their key clash with Arsenal this evening.
There was concern over the fitness of Haaland after he came off at half-time against Aston Villa on Sunday. Haaland managed to grab an assist in their 3-1 win over Aston Villa.
Haaland suffered a knock to his ankle. Pep Guardiola revealed at the end of the game that his substitution was a precaution. If Haaland is able to help Man City to a win tonight, Guardiola will be grateful he brought the star man off.
After the game Pep said:
“He had a big knock, he was uncomfortable,
“We didn’t want to take a risk and we will assess the next days how he does.”
Will Haaland Be Able To Get Firing?
If Man City are to win this tough test, Haaland will need to be at his best. But that might is easier said than do for the Norwegian.
Despite being in fine goal scoring form this season, and his career in general, he tends to struggle away to the ‘big six’ teams. Despite 25 Premier League goals, he has zero goals or assists away to the ‘big six’.
