Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that the legendary holding midfielder is ready for a new experience. That experience according to Laporta is to “live the American experience”.
Busquets, as you can imagine, isn’t short of options for his US adventure. One team that has constantly being linked to the Spaniard are Inter Miami.
Inter Miami are owned by former Real Madrid, Man United and England midfielder, David Beckham.
The End To A Magical Time
If Busquets were to leave it would end what has been some partnership between a player and a club.
During his time at Barça he’s won eight La Liga’s and three Champions League, along with various other team and personal awards.
Busquets came through the ranks at Barça and has gone on to make over 450 appearances for the great club. He’s now their captain and is a legend of the club.
A move would signify a shift from the old guard to the new talent on the block. The likes of Pedri and Gavi are now the big names in midfield for the Catalan club.
Despite the rumours about him leaving in the summer. Barça are considering offering him a new contract to keep him at the club longer.
