Sheffield United striker Oliver McBurnie is planning on spoiling the party when his side face non-league Wrexham in the FA Cup.

Wrexham were minutes away from completing a huge FA Cup upset over Championship high-flyers Sheffield United. However John Egan’s last minute equaliser meant the two-sides will meet tomorrow night in a replay.

McBurnie opened the scoring against Wrexham in the first two minutes to continue his good run of form, which has seen him contribute to a league goal in every other match. The Englishman was impressed with Wrexham but believes the Blades can put an end to the Welsh sides impressive cup run.

McBurnie said: “It was fun, it’s the FA Cup anything can happen the atmosphere was good and enjoyable to be a part of it going down to 10 men the boys showed a lot to get the replay and whoever the gaffer plays tomorrow we are more than capable enough to win.”

The striker even admitted to a few of his teammates watching the Wrexham documentary, with the National League side being owned by Hollywood’s elite Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The 26-year-old said: “I haven’t watched it but a few of the boys have and say it’s a decent watch so I might have to give it a watch. It’s good to see stories like that but we might have to spoil the party.”

The winner of tomorrow’s fixture will welcome Tottenham Hotspur in the next round of the FA Cup and will be hoping for another historic upset.
