Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Kylian Mbappe will miss the next three weeks after the 24-year-old picked up an injury in last night’s 3-1 victory.
Mbappe was forced to come off during the opening 20 minutes of yesterday’s Ligue 1 fixture against Montpellier with what is reported to be a leg injury. The France international had been involved in the action, putting the rebound of his missed penalty over the bar after VAR allowed a re-take of the original penalty.
The Parisian club have now confirmed that the extent of the injury means that the Frenchman will be unavailable for the opening leg of their Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich.

A club representative said: “After undergoing tests, Kylian Mbappe suffered an injury to the left thigh at the level of the femoral biceps. He is expected to be out of action for three weeks. More tests will be done today for Sergio Ramos.”
The French champions welcome the German champions on February 14th, with PSG looking to win the Champions League for the first time. The absence of Mbappe will be a huge loss for Christopher Galtier’s side, as the forward is in great form contributing to 31 goals in 26 matches.
PSG are 6/1 to win the Champions League, according to UK betting sites. With the owners primary focus being to become the best team in Europe, the race to get Mbappe back to fitness is on.
