Barcelona are looking to boost their title ambitions by making a late move for Moroccan star, Sofyan Amrabat.
According to reports, the Spanish giants have agreed terms with player and it is now down to his current club, Fiorentina, to agree to the loan deal. The 26-year-old caught the eye of Europe’s elite during Morocco’s historic run in the 2022 World Cup with Liverpool also showing an interest.
Barcelona have recently been told that they could not register the updated contracts of teenager Gavi and Uruguay international, Ronald Araujo. Meaning signing of Amrabat would leave some questions to be asked, due to Barca’s recent transfer and financial issues.

The La Liga side were also told that they could not give Marcos Alonso a new deal, as the former Chelsea defender would take the club over their salary cap. With these problems, Xavi and his side may struggle with the acquisition of Amrabat.
However as Barcelona are only looking for a loan deal, there is room for his arrival. Bringing Amrabat in on loan would only impact FFP this season and with the recent departures of Memphis Depay and Gerard Pique, the club have around £10m to negotiate with.
Barcelona find themselves at the top of La Liga, with UK betting sites pricing them at 2/1 favourites. The signing of Amrabat would give the club a new dynamic and possibly help end the four year wait for a league at the Camp Nou.
