Having already made a move for one Brighton player in this window Arsenal have now joined the race to sign Moises Caicedo from the Seagulls, with Chelsea also interested in the midfielder.

With Leandro Trossard joining the Arsenal ranks late last week, the Gunners are now trying to poach another star from Brighton with Moises Caicedo on Mikel Arteta’s radar.

Caicedo has been one of Brighton’s standout players for the past season and after enjoying a successful World Cup with Ecuador, the midfielder has gained a lot of attention from clubs higher up looking to earn his signature.

The highly respected Fabrizio Romano has reported Arsenal’s interest in Caicedo and after a change of agents for the Ecuadorian, a move to London could be on the cards during this window.

“Official. Moises Caicedo has picked Futbol Division as new agents — it’s now confirmed by agency statement.

“One to watch in the final days of Jan window — Brighton want to keep him but Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are well informed on Moises situation.”

Caicedo has said that despite the rumours of interest from other clubs in the league that his sole focus will remain only on Brighton… for now.

“I’m focused on Brighton. I’m here, I’m focused on this club so things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focused only on here.
I only try to be focused on club which opened the doors for me to be playing every week”
Brighton’s next game comes against Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round this Sunday, where Caicedo may play one of his final games for the Seagulls.
