- Arsenal have a 28.6% chance of signing Declan Rice according to latest odds
- Gunners’ concrete interest has been made public in recent weeks
- Both Liverpool (11.1%) and Chelsea (9.1%) are also touted as potential suitors
- Blues have been long admirers of their former youth product and owner Todd Boehly has shown little sign of hesitancy in the transfer market
West Ham’s Declan Rice is widely expected to leave the club at the end of the season to pursue his desire for European football, and table-topping Arsenal have been handed the lion’s share of weighting in the next club market with an implied probability of just over 28%.
According to the latest odds via Sportslens, a move to Arsenal for the Hammers captain and England National Team mainstay is looking increasingly likely, after the price was slashed all the way down to 5/2.
This new price is reflected in the multitude of reports confirming the Gunners’ intentions of making an approach for the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window.
Despite enjoying perhaps his best season in an Arsenal shirt, Granit Xhaka may be nearing the twilight of his career at the Emirates and Rice certainly fits the mould as a long-term replacement. Given Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu’s youthful approach to transfers in recent years, it should come as no surprise to seem them register an interest in one of football’s most talented holding midfielders.
Any potential deal will more than likely hit several stumbling blocks, namely the estimated price tag of £80m plus, which would force Arsenal to break their own transfer record. However, they will almost certainly face stiff competition from fellow potential suitors Chelsea, whom Rice represented throughout his youth career.
The Blues already usurped the Premier League leaders at the 11th hour after confirming the signing of long-term Arsenal target Mykhailo Mudryk last week, and another bidding war may be on the horizon with Chelsea having long been thought as Rice’s next destination.
Chelsea are given a 9.1% chance of securing his services according to the latest odds, although Liverpool, who have also struggled in the Premier League this season and would benefit from a midfield revamp, are handed an 11.1% implied probability.

Head of News for Sportslens Lee Astley said: “Arsenal‘s concrete interest in Declan Rice has been made public recently, and their rising stock as potential Premier League title contenders should have the England midfielders’ ears pricked.
“Josh Kroenke and the rest of the Arsenal board are prepared to back sporting director and Mikel Arteta in the transfer window following a string of successful investments, and Declan Rice would be a huge statement of intent regardless of where they end up finishing this season.
“As the odds suggest however, there are a whole host of clubs in the queue for the highly sought after 24-year-old, and a bidding war with free-spenders Chelsea and new owner Todd Boehly may ensue come the summer.”
