IMPERIAL ACE (System – Hugo Palmer, Lope De Vega, All-Weather)
Hugo Palmer does well with progeny of the sire Lope De Vega on the all-weather, scoring with 14 of the 39 qualifiers for a profit of £31.42. IMPERIAL ACE looked a little green but still managed to finish a respectable third to Intricacy on his debut at Wolverhampton and can be expected to improve considerably for that initial outing.
CATTERICK 3.25
LADY BOWES (System – Malinas, 2m4f+, good to soft or softer going)
Progeny of the sire Malinas usually need a test of stamina and had we backed them all over 2m4f or further and on good to soft or softer going we’d have won 79 of our 450 bets (17.6%) strike-rate and made a profit of £41.74 to a £1 level stake at SP. LADY BOWES was pulled-up on her first start after a nine month break and she’s sure to strip fitter for that outing and will relish the forecast heavy ground.
CHELMSFORD 6.30
BLUFF (System – The Gurkha, Chelmsford)
Progeny of the sire The Gurkha have done really well on Chelmsford’s Polytrack surface, landing eight of their 37 races for a profit of £72.96 to a £1 level stake at SP. BLUFF finished a respectable third on his debut in a 6f novice stakes at the Essex venue, form which has been well advertised – the runner-up Clipsham La Habana and the fourth placed Lady Amanda both scored on their next outing. He looks a likely improver for that initial outing and may appreciate the step back in trip.
