In typically ruthless fashion, Jose Mourinho launched into a scathing rant over one his players’ performances last night as Roma were held to a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo.
After it looked as if Tammy Abraham had slotted home the winner for the Romans, Andrea Pinamonti equalised for the home side with five minutes left to play, condemning the giallorossi to sixth-place for another match day.
After letting the opportunity to move up to third in the Serie A slip out of reach, this prompted a livid Jose Mourinho to claim one of his players needs to find a new club when the January transfer window opens, but refused to name him publicly.

In the post-match press conference, the former Chelsea and Man United manager said:
“I am sorry that the efforts of the team were betrayed by the attitude of one unprofessional player. You didn’t see me talking that way about Roger Ibanez against Lazio, because errors are part of the game, his attitude was never a problem.
“An unprofessional attitude that is not fair to his teammates, that is what disappoints me. I had 16 players on the field tonight and I liked the attitude of 15 of them. I told the other than he had this attitude today only and not always. Now we want to close this period of the season with three points.
“In January, he needs to find himself another club.”
José Mourinho: "Of the 16 players I played today, I was satisfied with the attitude of 15 of them. The other player, I won't say who it is, but he betrayed everyone else's effort.
I told him to find a new club by January."

Although the player was not publicly singled out by his manager, it is widely believed to be Dutch full-back Rick Karsdorp.
The 27-year-old seemed to be distracted after coming on as a substitute, losing out on several challenges, putting in misplaced crosses and, as seen above, effectively stopping his attempt to track back for the equaliser.
Karsdorp remains under contract with Roma with his deal expiring in the summer of 2025, but it seems Mourinho has little time for straggling squad members.
