The fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn, due to take place this weekend has been officially postponed after a hectic couple of days.
The postponement comes after Benn returned a positive test for clomifene, which can raise testosterone.

Both boxers’ teams were made aware of the finding over a week before it was leaked to the media and reported nationwide. During this time, both parties agreed that they would still proceed with the bout.
However, there’s been uproar all over social media regarding Benn’s actions, with many saying he should be banned for life.

After the adverse finding came to light yesterday, both fighters were still determined to get it going, despite the British Boxing Board of Control insisting they would not sanction the fight. Promotor Eddie Hearn was also trying to do everything in his power to make sure the fight went ahead. However, he has been forced to admit defeat.
This all comes after a fairly rough month for British boxing after fans were hopeful that Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua would be able to arrange a fight for December, but that now looks like it won’t be happening.
