Wolves vs Brentford Preview and Prediction
The meeting between these two sides on January 5th ended in a 1-1 stalemate, as Neal Maupay’s first-half opener was cancelled out by Thomas Doyle.
Gary O’Neil’s side were at a disadvantage after just nine minutes, as Joao Gomes received a straight red card for a malicious tackle on Christian Norgaard.
Wolves will be looking to win on Tuesday evening for a host of reasons, however, the FA Cup round four draw has added a further incentive – as a Black Country derby could be in store.
Brentford will be slightly aggrieved as Ivan Toney will available for selection the day after this FA Cup clash, after serving his eight-month ban for gambling breaches.
The Bees are without a win in their last six matches (all competitions) and pressure has started to increase on Thomas Frank.
With that in mind, we expect the hosts to reign victorious on Tuesday evening, picking up a narrow victory over Brentford at Molineux.

The Brazilian has contributed to 11 goals in the Premier League this season (5G+6A) and recently found the target in Wolves’ 3-0 win over Everton.
Cunha has been criticised for his failure to be clinical, however, Brentford have conceded 10 goals in their last four matches – making the opportunity for goals far more likely.
With this in mind, we expect the former Atletico Madrid striker to be on target against Brentford on Tuesday and at 8/5 is an intriguing option.

Six of Brentford’s last seven matches have fulfilled the criteria of having both teams score (all competitions), as the Bees continue to struggle defensively.
