Tottenham will be looking to extend their winning run in the Premier League to three successive matches on Saturday as they welcome an in-form Everton to north London, but who is the referee for the clash?

Both Everton and Tottenham head into Saturday afternoon’s meeting off the back of respectable winning runs, with the hosts enjoying two straight wins over Newcastle and Nottingham Forest, meanwhile the Toffees have won an impressive four consecutive league matches.

With at least one of these winning runs guaranteed to come to an end, Stuart Attwell will be the man in the middle, supported by Richard West and James Mainwaring on the sidelines, with Tim Robinson the allocated fourth official. Michael Oliver and Harry Lennard also have a role to play in the tie, as the pair have been selected for VAR duties.

Has Stuart Attwell Refereed Tottenham Or Everton This Season?

Stuart Attwell is yet to officiate Tottenham this term, however it will be the third occasion that he has refereed an Everton fixture. Attwell was in charge of the Toffees’ Premier League opener against Fulham back in August, which they narrowly lost 1-0, as well as their 1-0 triumph over West Ham at the London Stadium on Matchday 10.

Within those two fixtures, Attwell brandished seven yellow cards but just one of those was to an Everton player (Jordan Pickford vs West Ham).

Saturday’s tie will see Attwell take charge of his 10th English top flight match of the campaign, and his third in December – following on from Liverpool vs Fulham and Sheffield United vs Brentford.

The 41-year-old has shown 45 yellow cards in nine matches thus far this term, averaging 3.62 per game, along with one red card which was shown to Joe Worrall of Nottingham Forest for a professional foul against Manchester United back in August.

Attwell has also awarded two penalties in 2023/24, one in the aforementioned Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest match, and the other in favour Chelsea in their 4-1 win over Burnley near the start of October.
