There are early golden boot contenders in all five of the major European leagues so far this season. The leagues include – Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1. This list does not consist of goals in all competitions – just league goals.
Who are the double-digit goalscorers?
Starting off with the Premier League, of course, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is leading the race on 11 goals. A slight drop-off from the 17 goals he had scored last year at this stage.
In the Bundesliga, Harry Kane is representing England in the best way possible with a whopping 15 goals for Bayern Munich. He is currently at the top of the goal charts this season but it’s under threat from a surprise player in Serhou Guirassy. The VfB Stuttgart striker has 14 goals so far – just one behind Kane.
In Sunny Spain, Jude Bellingham has certainly made his mark early on in his career at Real Madrid with 10 goals in La Liga so far. The 20-year-old is one of the biggest stars in world football at the moment and it’s clear to see why.
Over at Ligue 1, it’s not surprise to see Kylian Mbappe at the top of the goalscoring charts. The French World Cup winner has 10 goals to his name as he’s trying to get PSG to their third consecutive title. It’d be their 12th overall since the competition began in 1893.
Finally, Serie A has Leandro Martinez at the top of the leaderboard with 12 goals for league leaders Inter Milan. The Argentine has had quite the year after the winning the World Cup and featuring in a Champions League final.
