West Ham United are expected to commit to technical director Tim Steidten if David Moyes is to be relieved of his duties at the London Stadium.

Steidten has been linked with other jobs, including Liverpool, recently – which would open the door for West Ham to be left with major changes at the top level.
But sources indicate there is “almost no chance” of both Steidten and Moyes being allowed to leave in the same summer and the feeling is that Steidten is probably the man that remains, as it stands.
Moyes has been hoping for a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of this season. The Scotsman is expected to see out this term but talks over a new contract were already stalling, as we revealed last week, while the board surveyed the current run of form.
Our information in that article alluded to the fact he would not be handed the new agreement if results did not turn around and a 6-0 home defeat to Arsenal has merely provided more weight to the argument that Moyes should not get an extended contract.
Owner David Sullivan is aware of the feeling fans have towards Moyes’ style of football, but he does hold a personal level of respect for the boss and what he has achieved.
Our understanding is that new managerial targets are likely to emerge this week, as West Ham have to start weighing up the club’s future prospects.
Steidten has the role of looking for any future manager and it is expected the next boss will not be of the same type as Moyes.
It would be a case of looking more towards a coach that focuses on team and tactics than a more wide scope of running the club and looking at signings.
