West Ham Vs Manchester United Combined XI Based On FPL Points

To form the West Ham vs Manchester United combined XI ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match, we have chosen the 4-3-2-1 formation. We believe this is the most suitable shape to fit in the players from both sides with the most FPL points so far in 2023/24.

Goalkeeper

Andre Onana – Manchester United (68 points)

Starting in goal for our combined team is United shot-stopper Andre Onana. Despite taking some criticism for his performances this season – particularly in the Champions League – Onana is actually United’s top FPL points scorer.

The Cameroonian international gets in ahead of West Ham counterpart Alphonse Areola, who has 45 points.

Defenders

Vladimir Coufal – West Ham (49 points)

At left back is Coufal of West Ham. While Diogo Dalot is the highest-scoring right back of the two, he is more accustomed to playing on the left and so makes the switch across.

Coufal’s 49 points come after starting every game for the Irons this season. He has racked up five assists so far.

Victor Lindelof – Manchester United (42 points)

Victor Lindelof may have only played 45 minutes in United’s last four games, but his form this season earns him a spot with 42 FPL points.

The Swedish international has a goal and an assist from his 12 Premier League games this season, and makes the starting squad for our combined team. Lindelof currently has a knock and is given only a 50% chance of playing on Saturday.

Kurt Zouma – West Ham (38 points)

Partnering Lindelof in the heart of our defence is West Ham’s Kurt Zouma. The Frenchman has racked up 38 FPL points in his 15 games so far.

A clean sheet agsisnt Wolves last time out sees Zouma edge in ahead of Harry Maguire, who has 36 points.

Diogo Dalot – Manchester United (57 points)

Although usually a right-back, Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot can operate on the left – and does in this team thanks to some limited options on this side of the defence.

The Portuguese fullback was sent off in United’s 0-0 draw at Anfield last time out, but has been in good form so far this campaign.

Dalot’s 57 points won’t be added to this weekend, though. His suspension runs until Boxing Day.

Midfielders

Scott McTominay – Manchester United (60 points)

The first of our midfield trio is United’s Scott McTominay. The Scottish international has seen a remarkable renaissance under Eric Ten Hag this season.

Having been expected to depart Old Trafford in January, McTominay has now been told he will not be allowed to leave the club, being deemed too important to United. With 60 FPL points to date, it’s no surprise to see him make our combined XI.

James Ward-Prowse – West Ham (70 points)

Joining McTominay in the middle of the park is former Southampton captain, James Ward-Prowse. Since arriving at the London club, he has notched up three goals and five assists in 16 league games.

Ward-Prowse is West Ham’s second-highest FPL points scorer, with 70, and worthy of his place in our combined XI.

Tomas Soucek – West Ham (57 points)

Another Hammers man completes the midfield trio in our side. Tomas Soucek is level on points with teammate Lucas Paqueta, but sneaks in thanks to earning them in 15 games to Paqueta’s 16.

The Czech midfielder has four goals and one assist, earning him his 57 FPL points.

Forwards

Jarrod Bowen – West Ham (94 points)

The first of our attacking three is West Ham talisman Jarrod Bowen. With ten goals in 16 games to date, he’s been in outstanding form all season.

As West Ham’s top FPL points scorer, Bowen walks into our combined team and will add width while making runs beyond the lone forward.

Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United (64 points)

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes’ stats make him the second-highest points scorer for United this campaign.

Prior to his suspension for the trip to Anfield, he had played every minute available in the Premier League this season.

But having served his one game suspension for picking up five yellow cards, the Portuguese star is back in contention and slots into our combined team just behind the striker.

Mohammed Kudus – West Ham (64 points)

Rounding out this lineup is Ghanaian frontman Kudus. The West Ham striker has five goals and three assists in just eight league games.

With a return of 64 FPL points, he is West Ham’s third-highest points scorer and deserves to lead the line in our combined XI.
