West Ham are pursuing a deal with Aston Villa for Colombian striker Jhon Duran and the Hammers have reportedly offered £30m plus a player for the forward.
West Ham Step Up Interest In Jhon Duran
With no real prolific goalscorers at the club right now, West Ham are desperate for a consistent striker and they believe they have found that in Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.
The Colombian started just three games in the Premier League last season, playing as backup for the prolific Ollie Watkins who he would often come off the bench to replace in the second half.
West Ham have reportedly offered £30m for Duran, as well as talented 18-year-old midfielder Lewis Orford in a cash plus player deal that Villa are considering.

Although he scored just three league goals last season Duran is still just 20-years-old and should he sign for West Ham he would get regular game time, which could develop him into a deadly forward in England.
There is no doubt that Duran would become the Hammers’ main striker next season if he were to join – with 34-year-old Michail Antonio well past his best on last season’s evidence, when he netted just six goals in 26 games.
West Ham are coming into the 2024/25 season with a new manager at the helm as Julen Lopetegui officially took over from David Moyes at the beginning of this month, after the Scotsman left the Hammers by mutual consent following five years at the club.
Lopeteui has been busy in the market already since joining, signing former Wolves captain Max Kilman for £47.5m as well as promising Brazilian forward Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras.
As well as Duran, the Hammers are also reportedly interested in bringing N’Golo Kante back to the Premier League with a rumoured move from Al-Ittihad worth around £15m in the works.
