Not only did David Moyes secure his first win away at Arsenal after 23 attempts on match week 19 of the 2023/24 Premier League season, he also re-wrote himself into West Ham’s record books in the process.
It’s been exactly four years since the Scottish manager returned to the club and he has left such a brilliant legacy in East London over the last 48 months.
Not only has Moyes overseen some of the Hammers finest top flight seasons, he is the first person to lead the Iron to their first piece of European silverware.
Surely it’s just a matter of time before a statue of the 60-year old is erected outside the London Stadium and to top it all off, he surely has to go down as a club legend.
David Moyes West Ham Record
David Moyes’ West Ham record since returning for his second stint at the club has been remarkable. Over his two spells, he has 107 victories, 44 draws and 85 losses from 236 games in all competitions.
Granted, on first glance that may not look like he has moved mountains or made the Hammers a top six force to be reckoned with but he has improved the Iron from top to bottom.
Happy four years (in your second stint) to our hero , Super David Moyes ❤️❤️ https://t.co/sbjRyqwCAd

The Scot finished 6th in the Premier League in 2020/21 and one place lower the following season. These are the highest positions the East Londoners have boasted since the likes of Slaven Bilic, Glenn Roeder and Harry Redknapp were in charge.
And of course, the UEFA Europa Conference League success will be etched into West Ham history forever. Moyes also spent the Declan Rice money very wisely and replenished the playing squad ahead of the current season.
West Ham Premier League Record
Statistically, West Ham are the most improved Premier League side over the last 12 months and David Moyes also bettered two of his very own points tallies at the halfway stage of a top-flight season.
The Hammers have 33 points after 19 games in 2023/24, which is one more than in 2020/21 and two more than the 2021/22 campaign. Moyes was at the helm for those two years.
How the Scot moves the club forward remains to be seen but he has certainly made a lasting impression with the London Stadium faithful.
With the January transfer window almost open, Moyes has the opportunity to add some sensible additions to his playing squad to further enhance his credentials as one of the club’s greatest ever managers.
